Engineered for extreme offshore, marine, and chemical liquid level monitoring where 316L stainless steel suffers pitting and stress corrosion cracking.
Liquid level indicators, magnetic level gauges, and float switches installed in Kuwait's marine oil terminals, desalination plants, and chemical processing facilities face severe chloride attack and elevated temperatures. Standard Austenitic stainless steels (such as 304 and 316L) rapidly deteriorate under these conditions.
Absolute Webtech manufactures precision-welded, hermetically sealed liquid level floats fabricated from Super Duplex Stainless Steel UNS S32507 (EN 1.4410 / 2507). With a Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number (PREN) exceeding 42, S32507 provides virtually impenetrable resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and chloride stress corrosion cracking.
Each float is calibrated for precise liquid buoyancy thresholds (specific gravity from 0.50 to 1.40) and helium mass spectrometer leak tested to verify zero permeability under high operating pressures.
The balanced 50/50 austenitic-ferritic microstructure delivers exceptional immunity to sour gas (H2S) and brackish/marine water chloride stress cracking.
With nearly double the mechanical yield strength of standard stainless steels, S32507 floats withstand deep tank head pressures without wall collapse.
Available in spherical, cylindrical, or magnetic float configurations with custom internal tube diameters, guide magnets, and specific buoyancy weighting.
